DTCM integration

Because creating events and e-ticketing in Dubai requires an e-permit through Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), we’ve successfully partnered with them to integrate our platforms, in order to facilitate the process of selling event tickets online in Dubai.

1. Get your e-ticketing approval

Visit the DTCM website to read about the entire process of creating an event permit in Dubai and receiving an e-ticketing approval. You will find a step by step user guide that explains what you will do once you visit the e-permit website.

Prerequisites:
  • To have an approval to host an event in Dubai from DTCM
  • To have created the tickets on DTCM and obtained the e-ticketing approval

Once you’ve obtained the approval and created your tickets on DTCM, the following 7 steps will be your complete guide to creating events and selling tickets online through Eventtus:

2. Create the event

To create an event on Eventtus, go to the ticketing landing page, sign up and choose to create a new event. This will take you to an elegant form where you can add all the necessary information regarding your event so that your audience could get a full picture, including:

  • its location and any necessary information about the venue,
  • the date of the event,
  • a brief description,
  • the dress code.

Make sure you’re concise, yet clear with everything that you want the attendees to know.

Pro tip: Promote your event’s mobile app in the description of the event on this page. Encourage the attendees to download it, including its link on the App Store and Google Play, by explaining the app’s significance and how it’ll enhance their event experience.

3. Upload your tickets

Once you’ve added everything the audience needs to know about your event, it’s time to upload the tickets that you’ve created through DTCM’s e-permit & e-ticketing website.

Go the Tickets tab, and click on “Add tickets” to retrieve the data from DTCM by entering your DTCM permit ID. This will upload all the different tickets that you had created there on your Eventtus dashboard, where you will be able to edit each ticket’s availability dates and monitor the individual and total sales.

4. Add promo or access codes

You will then have the option to apply promo or access codes to the tickets of your choice, if you would like to provide your event partners, sponsors or attendee segment with special tickets. Promo codes are codes for discounts to the ticket price; while access codes are special codes to tickets that are not available to the general public.

5. Add registration questions

On the same “tickets” tab, you will find the opportunity to add registration questions to the already essential ones. These questions will help you get more information and insight on the attendees that register, which will help you make better decisions when targeting and segmenting your audience later on.

Pro tip: Add registration questions like the attendees’ job title, the company they work at or how they heard about the event, to help you understand who your audience is.

6. Go live! and track your sales in real-time

It’s time to go live and publish your event on Eventtus! This will make your event discoverable online and can be shared on different social media platforms. Your exclusive page has displays all your event details that would allow the audience to make a ticket purchase.

Once your event is live, people would be able to buy tickets immediately. Through your dashboard on Eventtus, you will get a complete overview of the number of purchases made over the days, so that you could monitor your sales’ performance in real-time. You can view a list of the registered attendees, with all the information they entered while ticketing.

7. Check-in on-site
